The navy blue Alpinus Piryn men’s softshell is a versatile technical jacket designed for trekking, mountain hiking, cycling, ski touring, Nordic walking, as well as sailing trips and active everyday use. Its key feature is the high-performance HDTX membrane with a rating of 15,000 mm H₂O / 10,000 g/m²/24 h, which provides complete wind protection (100% windproof). It is ideal in conditions of strong wind exposure – on exposed mountain ridges, the coast, via ferratas or during sailing trips, where gusts can lower the wind chill from +5°C to -5°C in a matter of minutes. The softshell eliminates this phenomenon by acting as an uncompromising protective barrier that effectively resists not only heavy rain but also snowfall. The model stands out thanks to its clever ‘2-in-1’ design. Instead of having to carry a heavy fleece and a stiff, rustling hardshell jacket, the wearer gets a flexible, quiet-moving fabric with built-in insulation. This saves a huge amount of space and weight in your rucksack. The whole thing is complemented by a modern, minimalist design with a laminated trim around the chest pocket.
The softshell is made from an outer fabric comprising 94% polyester and 6% spandex, ensuring good durability and flexibility, which facilitates freedom of movement whilst climbing or walking with poles. The fabric’s structure promotes the efficient wicking of excess moisture away from the body, preventing the formation of an unpleasant ‘sweat-trapping’ microclimate during intense exertion.
